The Rock

Those eyes, those lips- I remember How tremendously they fell on you. That smile, that frown How tremendously they changed you, Each word you said left me spellbound, As you numbed my senses and gave them flight, you brought me back to the ground. The days we sat hand-in-hand Your face glistened under the brilliant sun, I was nervous, you were too, both hearts with turned faces but couldn’t depart. I still cherish that day When I saw a miraculously beautiful diamond Under a heap of coal ‘Twas that day I decided I got to make her my own. You have been a piece of my heart since the day I saw you And believe me, my love, it’s true. I had always chosen you in all the three wishes I got But by now I loathe to admit It’s all an illusion. Save one beautiful moment where one can only find true love By uttering these three words I LOVE YOU- My Rock.

You

Your shadow, a dream when conscious You view, a light in the dark Your voice, music to the deaf Your touch, a sign of love What an image you are! In me you aspire, inspire and give rise to aspirations Your eyes, a mirror to my future Your feet, the path to my success Your heart, the will to my victory A kiss from you, the birth of my new idea A hug by you, my big success Your warm handshake, a presumable wish for luck All this seems vivid; until the fall of your gloomy cape The cape of reality, a hurdle in my path A prick to the skin, a wall to the glass And all this leads me to the path where, I shall reach you I shall cut through your cape I shall head forward And when all will hail Knowledge would have followed Riches would be abundant Respect shall prevail Then all will be perfect. Because I’ve achieved What I was created for- Desire!

Then Came War

My blessing, the beginning of cries; My curse, a step closer to peace; My greetings, blood begins to trickle; My farewell, birth of happiness. When I dance, The earth wobbles. When I sleep, my blessings apply. When I drink, thunder and storms encrust the earth. When I fight, sorrows subside. My pride, another’s fall, My rage, another’s love, My repair, another’s break, My grief, another’s pleasure. All through life, I have walked through the battlefields, Through the minds of men, Far from home, where they laugh, I cry. As I get through one to another, One dreams of his beauteous wife, And another of his journey to fatherhood, All behind the horrors of battle. I snivel and pass, Through the stony lands of skirmish Looking at coagulated blood and dying men wailing out to god. To get points of view across, Putting lives on stake. To get justice, Making this bloody injustice. My hands tr...

Him

How fearless I was with him around, How soundly I used to sleep when the chirp of those lovely birds woke me up. It was him who gave this to me. I could sense him through all my body; He would bear me when I needed him. He would numb all those problems away And turn them into little bundles of joy and laughter. There were times when I wondered Who is he? Is he really there? It was only when problems came that I spoke to him All in my mind and all through my soul. Problems had raided my life, Throughout, when I was left. All alone In a polluted world of confusion and crime, I was scared. I had lost heart. I was weak, and needed strength. The world was mean, I had soon to realise. I needed him now- The man I had always spoken about; One who made me fearless, one who got me strong. The one because of whom I slept in peace. Later I realised he is no one, just an Abstract little man whom I saw as real...
